The pilot of a Delta flight has arrested an unruly passenger who tried to enter the main cabin of an airplane that left Puerto Rico for New York.

According to a report from the authorities, the passenger was aggressive, so the pilot, Captain Kevin Mitchell, arrested him and subsequently landed the aircraft in San Juan.

Also, it was detailed that the subject, identified as Carlos Ramírez Rodríguez, 30 years old, and resident of San Juan, stood on the plane and began to scream various threats.

“I am a God, tomorrow San Juan is going to disappear, I came to save the world and I am going to end terrorism,” said the man, according to the police.

Given this, the Federal Bureau of Investigation assumed jurisdiction of the investigation.

The facts were reported around 7:30 a.m., according to Uniformada.

Delta Flight 579 took off at 7:00 a.m. and it was supposed to arrive at the John F. Kennedy airport in New York at 10:51 a.m.

The airline’s website indicates that the flight took off for New York again after the incident.

The subject was placed in the custody of the police at the Luis Muñoz Marín international airport in Carolina.
