Fyre Festival island for sale. The festival may have been a bust but the island of the Fyre Festival is now for sale. It can be yours, if you have the budget.
A music festival full of celebrities, luxuries and exclusive parties in an exotic paradise island in the middle of the sea, this is how the Fyre Festival was promoted, which turned out to be one of the biggest frauds of our time. In the end, the only real thing about this disastrous festival that left hundreds of people trapped without water, without food and the big party they had been promised ,was the exclusive island where it was going to take place.
In case you forgot, the Fyre Festival promised to be one of the best music festivals in history, its creator had promised gourmet meals, accommodation worthy of a king, the best international musicians and the opportunity to rub shoulders with super models and celebrities while you are relaxing on an island in the Bahamas (Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowki helped promote it and made it look like the most exclusive event of the year), but in the end it was a big lie and those who bought tickets were left trapped in what looked like a strange refugee camp. As a result, those involved were accused of fraud and their story became the subject of two documentaries that proved that everything was more disturbing than it seemed (and that it is very easy to deceive the world).
But, it was not all a lie, that paradise island where the Fyre Festival was to be held really exists. And now after the scandal, they are looking for a new owner.
According to Forbes, the island is called Saddleback Kay and is located in the Exhuma area of the Bahamas, and is currently on sale through the real estate agency of the Bahamas called HG Christie.
The island is very close to another famous island which was part of the traffic route of the empire of Pablo Escobar.
The official website of the island says: “Located just north of Normans’ Cay, it is the incredibly private island known locally as Saddleback Cay, named for the saddle shape that the island assumes when seen from the sea. With more than 90 feet of elevation, it has a 360 degree control. “
Saddleback kay has 7 beaches and a sheltered bay that extends for 14 hectares, and has a price of 11.8 million dollars.
Billy McFarland and Ja Rule, the creators of the festival, managed to sell thousands of tickets thanks to this incredible island in the middle of the Bahamas. The images on the social networks of the attendees showed another reality, and the island looked terrible, but that was because it was not the same island that we saw in the video, which is the island that is for sale and that, ironically, began to attract the attention of potential buyers thanks to the video.
“I actually had a buyer the next day after it was aired,” says listing agent John Christie. “They came to see her, but it ended up not being right one for them.”
The only problem (in addition to not having 11.8 million to spend on a private island) is that the island is “linked” to a company and if you want to buy it, you would have to buy the company too.
