Bodies of missing Oregon mom and son found

The bodies of a missing Oregon mom and her son have been found. The bodies of Karissa and Billy Fretwell, who have been missing since May 13th, have been found this saturday about 10 miles west of the city of Yamhill.

The bodies were discovered by searchers in heavily wooded and very remote area. A family member reported Karissa, 25, and her son, 3, missing after finding their Salem apartment unlocked, the television still on inside, and Fretwell’s glasses and credit card left behind. 

According to the state medical examiner Ms. Fretwell died of a single gunshot to the head. The death was ruled the death a homicide. The cause of death for Billy Fretwell’s, however, has not yet been determined.

The boy’s father, 52-year-old Michael John Wolfe had already been arrested by Salem police in connection with their deaths. He was charged with aggravated murder and kidnapping but denied involvement in their disappearance in interviews with police.
