Andrew Lunn unn wicomico river rescue earns massive praise. A man by the name of Andrew Lunn has risked his own life by plunging into the wicomico river to save a motorist.

A Salisbury worker is being hailed a hero tonight after rescuing a driver from the Wicomico River. The accident took place Tuesday afternoon, when a driver was parking his car, but accidentally backed into the Wicomico River. A nurse at Anchorage Healthcare Center saw the entire accident unfold and did not waste any time hustling to the rescue. “It was very quick, and you know it was only enough time to think about what to do,” says Andrew Lunn.

According to the Salisbury Police Department, the 55-year-old driver accidentally backed into the Wicomico River from the nursing home side of the river. Police said the driver suffered minor injuries.
