Donald Trump accused former FBI chief James Comey of cowardice on the grounds that he had leaked compromising notes on their private meetings to the press, revealing that the US president had asked him to abandon a section of the investigation into the matter of Russian interference in the US presidential elections of last year.

“He gave his notes to a law professor from (Columbia University) because he did not know how to act as a man and give his notes directly to the media when he wanted to transmit them to the media,” said Friday the first campaign manager of Donald Trump, Corey Lewandowski
